Golf Shop Attendant
Job Type: Part Time & Full Time
Salary: $16-$17 / hour
- To always provide excellence in guest service.
- To meet and greet all golfers who visit Chevy Chase Country Club
- To adopt sound working practices in and around the Proshop area and familiarize yourself with the Standard Operation Procedures Manual
- To answer the telephone in a polite manner, carry out tee time bookings, general administration duties and to be the source of information for all members and guests’ queries.
- Maintain merchandise by moving, folding, tagging, and displaying products.
- Assist in the overall upkeep of the Proshop, cart storage area and parking lot
- Provide sincere and courteous service, including bag handling and gold club cleaning to all members and guests.
- To assist with the occasional extra shift for Golf Services tasks as and when needed.
- Operate golf carts and course equipment in a safe manner.
- Prepare golf carts for play following the standards set by the Club.
- Clean and store carts at the conclusion of play per standards set by the Club
- Maintain the Clubs cart fleet by cleaning, detailing, checking batteries and air in the tires
- Set up and maintain the driving range on a daily basis
- To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation, personal presentation and fire and emergency procedures.
- To follow Proshop Opening/Closing Guidelines including dedicated Proshop SOP.
Receptionist/Host
Job Type: Part Time
Salary: $16/hour
· To always provide excellence in guest services.
· To meet and greet all golfers who visit the Chevy Chase Country Club and assist with tee time bookings.
· Manage multiple member schedules for pool, gym, and other activities.
· To adopt sound working practice in and around the Reception Area and familiarize yourself with the Standard Operating Procedures.
· To answer the telephone in a polite manner, carry out tee time bookings, general administration duties and to be the source of information for all members and guest queries.
· To ensure the reception area is always presented to a high standard.
· To familiarize yourself with the operation of POS, front desk computer, photocopier and fax machines.
· To assist with the occasional extra shift for Golf Services tasks as and when needed.
· To provide general administration assistance to the Membership and Events Team.
· To enhance the organization and experience of reception to the membership through process management and training.
· To assist in the organization of the tee sheet/members bookings and adhere to the booking guidelines.
· To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of this role.
· To act as host/hostess for the restaurant service including but not limited to seating, setting tables and bussing.
· To assist with seating chart/prep for restaurant seating using tools like OpenTable
· To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation, personal presentation and Fire & Emergency Procedures.
· To deliver mail and packages to the correct department or persons
· Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Banquet Server
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Ensure all tables are properly set with clean linens, silverware, and glassware
- Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the event
- Assist with event breakdown and cleanup Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Bartending experience is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Skills:
- Hospitality: Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and sanitation.
- Bartending: Ability to mix and serve drinks, including knowledge of popular cocktails.
- Banquet: Experience working in banquet settings, such as weddings, conferences, or large events.
- Guest relations: Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Catering: Understanding of catering operations and ability to assist with setup and breakdown.
- Food safety: Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Culinary: Familiarity with culinary terminology and basic cooking techniques.
- Guest services: Providing assistance and addressing guest needs during events.
- Food service: Experience serving food in a restaurant or banquet setting.
